Gas Station Trend
You stopped for fuel. Your friends apparently stopped to shoot a music video.
In shortThe Gas Station trend remakes a road-trip clip built around three small actions: dancing beside the pumps, filming a selfie and stepping out of a car. Russian-language coverage identifies the original group as Mikhail Litvin and two friends, with the clip circulating from summer 2024. Later AI remakes kept the staging and changed the cast. The song associated with it is Akcent’s “On And On,” and the Russian nickname is “Delai.”
What Gas Station Trend is
An ordinary stop gets the confidence of a headline performance. Nothing in the setting deserves this much swagger, which is precisely why it works. The repeatable actions make an unexpected cast readable immediately. Hotel Lobby uses a different setting for a similar casting joke: everyone recognizes the performance before considering who has shown up.
Where Gas Station Trend came from
vc.ru dates the road-trip post to July 1, 2024. Halva Media describes the later spread of AI remakes in September 2026, especially across Russian-speaking platforms. That reporting separates the older filmed scene from the subsequent generated variations. The original performers were actually at a gas station; an altered cast in a later clip is a separate work.

Why Gas Station Trend spread
The three actions provide a little sequence rather than one static punchline. Viewers can anticipate the next entrance, while the song supplies continuity. It shares the casual group-performance appeal of Mandem Style, though the gas station format depends on a particular scene and order of shots.
Who shows up beside the pumps?
- Friend-group remakes. The documented variations recast the three actions with familiar groups. The interaction is part of the joke, not just three unrelated portraits.
- Fictional ensembles. Halva Media describes versions involving characters from television dramas, including Magnificent Century. The incongruous setting does much of the work.
- Pets and mascots. Cats and other unlikely participants turn a road-trip scene into deliberate absurdity. These altered performances should not be mistaken for original footage.

When discussing or editing a version, preserve the dance, selfie and car-door sequence so people can recognize the reference. Credit the source clip. If you film a practical homage, choose a safe parked setting where the performance does not obstruct drivers or station customers.
